Climate Justice

The Unitarian Universalist Association recognized Old Ship as a Green Sanctuary Congregation for its work in 2024-2026 to further the UUA’s environmental goals of mitigation, justice, and congregational transformation.

The Social Justice Council supports Green Sanctuary’s efforts to foster environmental sustainability and justice. Active for many years, Green Sanctuary has recently held educational forums, helped plan greening projects for buildings, and hosted community dinners emphasizing the relationship between climate justice and the food we eat. We welcome all Old Shippers to help plan and carry out green projects.

The Old Ship congregation is proud to be the stewards of the historic 1681 Meeting House that is our church home. Restoration and upkeep is ongoing and expensive; we appreciate support from friends and neighbors like you. Click here to learn more or donate to help preserve the Meeting House. Thank you!

We love to give tours and will be happy to arrange one for you. We need one week notice in order to find a volunteer tour guide. Please click here for more information.
