Music
There is a long history of choral music at Old Ship. Our choir takes pride in creating beautiful music to share with our church community on Sunday mornings and occasionally at other special services. We are fortunate to have a professional section leader on each voice part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) who help support the ensemble as a whole. The choir typically sings at three Sunday services per month from September through June. We draw from a varied repertoire of choral music: classical, gospel, jazz, folk, pop, and musical theater to name a few. Additionally, we respectfully incorporate music from other cultures and religions around the world.
The choir is always ready to welcome new members and the only prerequisite is the love of singing. We rehearse prior to Sunday services at either 9 or 9:30; there is no weekday rehearsal. Check the church calendar to see when we will be rehearsing next – come join us!
