Caring Task Signups If you would be willing to help out on a Sunday as an Usher, Fellowship Hour Host or Welcome Table, or check the schedule, click here for the link to the on-line sign-up sheet. Ushers Every week, members and friends greet worshipers and hand them a bulletin. The ushers should arrive at the Meeting House fifteen minutes before the service starts. During the service, they count the number of congregants and, at the appropriate time during the service, collect the offering. Fellowship Hour Hosts Following the service, congregants gather in the Fellowship Hall to share coffee and conversation. Fellowship Hosts pour the coffee, present the food and clean up. In order to better share the experience and to lessen the cost for individuals, each week we ask a few people to bring a food item to share at Fellowship Hour. Please bring an item that can be shared with 12-18 people. The dates that you will be asked to bring food will be based on the first letter of your last name and will be posted on the Sign Up Genius and in the weekly Constant Contacts. click here to be taken to an on-line sign-up sheet or to check the schedule. Welcome Table During Fellowship Hour, visitors, members and friends are invited to stop by the Welcome Table to ask an experienced Old Shipper a question. It may be about becoming a member, signing up to usher, teaching or joining in a social justice project. Or, it may just be to say hello. Volunteers are needed for the first half of Fellowship Hour to meet, greet and answer any questions. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers. Chances are there is someone close by that can answer. You just need to be a friendly facilitator. It’s a great way to meet new and greet old friends.
