Our minister

Rev. Kenneth H. Read-Brown

Rev. Kenneth H. Read-Brown has been minister of First Parish in Hingham, Old Ship Church (Unitarian Universalist) since 1987. Prior to this settlement, Rev. Read-Brown served as Associate Director of The Cambridge Forum and Assistant Minister at First Parish, Cambridge, Mass.

Rev. Read-Brown is a graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry, Berkeley, Calif., and of Haverford College, Haverford, Pa., from which he received a BA in philosophy in 1973. Before entering Starr King, Rev. Read-Brown taught music at a school for severely learning-disabled children. Rev. Read-Brown lives in Hingham with his wife, Susan. They have three grown children.
